A Bleak Future Through Contaminated Water
In many regions of the world, access to clean drinking water is not a given. Contaminated water often leads to severe illnesses. Starting with diarrhea, life-threatening situations can arise quickly, particularly for children. A lack of water supply means not only health risks but also a lack of educational opportunities and poverty across generations.
Clean Water Also Protects the Environment
In many regions, water is boiled to kill bacteria and germs, and wood is used as the primary fuel source. This leads to uncontrolled deforestation, which degrades soil quality and further lowers the groundwater level.
Our filtration systems eliminate the need for boiling water and therefore help protect forests and natural water resources. They also save households the cost of purchasing firewood.
The Consequences of Contaminated Water
- High illness and mortality rates among children
- Frequent school absences
- Lack of prospects for families and communities
Our Solution
We are a private initiative that has developed solutions for these challenges. Our W4L "Water for Life" devices are robust, efficient filter systems adapted to local conditions.
W4L Filter Systems – Innovative, Robust, Life-Changing
W4L devices were specially developed for use in challenging environments. They operate independently of complex infrastructure and reliably deliver clean drinking water for schools, communities, and facilities.
Ultrafiltration - 0.02µm Cut-off
Removes bacteria, germs, viruses, and particles. Only dissolved substances like salt or nitrate remain – sufficient for most surface and groundwater sources.
Patented Filter Technology
Purification is achieved through modern ultrafiltration, offering high safety with low maintenance requirements.
3-Way Flushing System
The filter is cleaned by an integrated triple flushing system controlled via valves. This ensures easy operation and a long filter lifespan.

Manual or Electric
Basic operation is performed via hand pumps. If electricity is available, an external electric pump can be utilized.
Durable & Efficient
The filter can be used for years and replaced if necessary. The "dead-end" mode ensures minimal water loss.
KESHE Plasma Technology
In addition, integrated KESHE plasma technology is used for the vitalization and energetic enrichment of the water.
High Capacity
In manual mode, approx. 600 liters per hour can be processed; with an electric pump, approx. 1000 liters per hour – depending on raw water quality.
In cooperation with HTL Vöcklabruck, a fully automated version was developed that reaches double the capacity. This closed, compact mobile unit is particularly suitable for larger communities and facilities like hospitals. An integrated hand pump allows for emergency operation during power outages.
Deployment in Uganda – 13 Devices, Countless Opportunities
A major milestone was the delivery of 13 W4L devices to Uganda. The devices were fully sponsored by the HILTI company from Liechtenstein and managed by GAIA-Africa, a partner organization.
Distribution and Operation
- Installation at larger schools to optimize capacity utilization
- Supervision and operation by a local team on-site
- Sustainable use through training and ongoing support

Your Support Brings Water – and Hope
Our private team works on a voluntary basis. We can only finance new W4L devices through sponsors. Every bit of support – from companies or individuals – helps to provide more schools and communities with access to clean water.
How You Can Contribute
- Sponsoring one or more devices
- Partial funding of projects in specific regions
- Partnerships with companies and organizations
- Private donations for individual projects
Why Your Contribution Matters
Behind every system are real lives: children who stay healthy, can attend school, and receive a real perspective for the future. Clean water is more than a resource – it is the foundation of life.
Become Part of Water for Life
If you are in a position to contribute toward further devices or would like to learn more about our projects, we look forward to hearing from you.
